|Main hazards: Harmful.|
|4. FIRST AID MEASURES|
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Do NOT use solvents or thinners.
Eye contact: Remove contact lenses. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped apply artificial respiration. If unconscious, place in the recovery position and obtain medical attention. Give nothing by mouth.
Ingestion: If swallowed obtain immediate medical attention. Keep warm and at rest.
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
|5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES|
Extinguishing media: Use alocohol resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemicals or water spray.
DO NOT USE WATER JET.
Exposure hazards: Fire will produce fumes of hydrogen chloride / phosgene.
Protective equipment: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
|6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES|
Personal precautions: Remove all sources of ignition. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Evacuate personnel to safe areas. See section 8 for personal protective equipment.
Environmental Precautions: Do not let product enter drains or water courses. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.
Clean-up methods: Contain and collect spillage with a non-combustible absorbent material (i.e. sand, earth). Transfer to suitable container for disposal. Clean the spillage area with detergent. Avoid the use of solvents.

Engineering measures: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially

Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Hand protection: Wear suitable protective gloves.
Eye protection: Wear goggles to BS EN 166 349B and ensure eye bath is available.
Skin protection: Wear cotton or synthetic overalls. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product

Materials to avoid: Avoid oxidising agents and strongly alkaline or acidic materials to prevent possibility of exothermic reaction.
Decomposition: In combustion emits toxic fumes of hydrogen chloride / phosgene.
|11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION|
Toxicological data: There is no data available on the product itself.
Acute toxicity: Ingestion may cause Nausea and vomiting. Inhalation of high vapour concentrations can cause irritation of the mucous membrane and the respiratory system and the renal and Central Nervous System. Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, muscular weakness, drowsiness and in extreme cases loss of consciousness.
Corrosivity/irritation: Irritating to eyes. May cause irreversible eye damage. Contact with skin will produce irritation or burns.

Mobility: Final destination of reacted products is water. Volatile. Readily adsorbed into soil.
Bioaccumulative potential: No bioaccumulation potential.
Other adverse effects: Harmful to aquatic organisms.

|Method of disposal: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Classified as hazardous waste according to the Control of Pollution (Special Waste) Regulations 1980. The disposal of wastes arising from industrial premises is subject to The Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991. Do not dispose of waste into sewer.|
